An ATM of Union Bank of India that containing around Rs 1.69 lakh cash was stolen from Bilha-Mirganj area near in the early hours of Sunday,police said.
“The Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) was not properly installed under Bhedaghat police station area some 15 kms from the City. It was stolen after possibly drugging the security guard,” Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) T K Vidyarthi.
“We are waiting for the security guard B P Rajak to regain consciousness to record his statement,” the ASP said,adding that he was undergoing treatment in a hospital.
The ATM was stolen after 1.54 am,given that the last transaction of around Rs 40,000 from it was recorded at that time,police said.
