As world worries about Europe,3 key envoys are Adda guests tonight

As the world worries about Europes crisis,ambassadors of three key economies will be the guests at Express Adda in Mumbai on Friday.

The eurozone crisis is not just Europes problem. On Thursday,after holding discussions with German Chancellor Angela Merkel,Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said in Beijing: The European debt crisis has continued to worsen… Frankly speaking,I am also worried.

As the world worries about Europes crisis,ambassadors of three key economies will be the guests at Express Adda in Mumbai on Friday.

Greek Ambassador Ioannis Raptakis,Spains Gustavo Manuel de Aristegui y San Roman and Portuguese Ambassador Jorge Roza de Oliveira will discuss the crisis and the challenges and opportunities it throws up.They will be in conversation with Infosys Chairman and ICICI Banks Non-Executive Chairman K V Kamath and The Indian Express Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta.

Raptikis,55,who started his career in 1985,has served in the Permanent Mission at the UN,New York,twice. San Roman,49,who was a lawyer before joining the diplomatic service,has served as the Chief of Service in the Directorate General of External Politics for Europe. Oliveira,52,has served as adviser to the European Commissioner for Justice and Home Affairs from 1999 to 2002.

Adda is a monthly series of interactions with individuals at the centre of change held in Mumbai and Delhi.
