Former Apollo astronauts from left Walt Cunningham Apollo 7,James Lovell Apollo 8 and 13,David Scott Apollo 15,Edwin Buzz Aldrin Apollo 11,Charles Duke Apollo 16,Thomas Stafford Apollo 10,and Eugene Cernan Apollo 10 and 17 at the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission and the walk on the moon at the NASA Headquarters in Washington. Armstrong and Collins,both 78,and Aldrin,79,who were the first to land on the moon,told Americans at the National Air and Space Museum to aim for Mars. Armstrong paid tribute to US physicist Robbert Goddard,who developed the liquid-fuel rocket engine in the 1920s.
