Anna Hazares Bhrashtachar Virodhi Jan Andolans Delhi office will temporarily be located in a flat under Kiran Bedis possession.
Sources said the office would act as the secretariat of the anti-corruption movement to be coordinated by Hazares NGO,till they find a bigger place. The headquarters of the movement will remain in Hazares native village Ralegan Siddhi.
The DDA flat in Jahangirpuri once housed an office of Bedis NGO Navjyoti India Foundation but has been lying unused for some time.
Among the places being considered for a permanent office by Hazares associates is Health Village,in Noida. Sources said the centre, spread over about 40,000 sq ft,is run by Mukund Health Solutions and owned by a follower of Baba Ramdev.
Hazare,an avid naturopathy and Ayurveda enthusiast,is said to be interested in the centre as compared to the other options. His associate Vishvambhar Choudhari said Hazare would decide after a thorough background check of the owners of the places. Hazare associate Sunita Godara said while Hazare was to visit the centre and take a call on October 6,when he was scheduled to address a farmers rally in Meerut,he had to cancel the plan due to health complications. Lt Col Bijender Khokhar (retd),a closest confidant of Hazare in Delhi,is expected to hold charge of the BVJAs Delhi office. Bedi and Godara would supervise its working, sources said.
