Three of the five railway personnel who were abdcuted from the Hendgiri railway station in the Hazaribagh district late on Tuesday night,remained untraced on Wednesday.
The motive of the crime and the identity of the abductors are yet to be ascertained,said Hazaribagh DIG M S Bhati.
Station manager Lalit Prasad,deputy station manager K Tete,assistant station manager Anil Kumar,assistant station master Tuntun Raman and porter Rajesh Kumar were abducted around 10.30 pm. After taking the five to a distance at gun point,the abductors released Raman and Kumar.
This is not the first such incident in the Naxal-infested Ramgarh-Garwah section. Three assistant station masters were kidnapped by CPI Maoist cadres last October.
