Ravindra Chavan hits back at Ajit Pawar for levelling corruption charges against BJP
Ajit Pawar should clarify whether he is making allegations against the Narendra Modi-led Central Government or the Devendra Fadnavis-led State Government, said Maharashtra BJP chief Ravindra Chavan.
Chavan warned that the NCP would be in trouble if his party started levelling corruption allegations and asked Pawar to think before making such allegations.
(file) In a war of words between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) ahead of the election to the municipal corporations of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, state BJP chief Ravindra Chavan on Saturday hit back at the Maharashtra deputy chief minister for making corruption allegations against the BJP.
“Ajit Pawar should clarify whether he is making allegations against the Narendra Modi-led Central Government or the Devendra Fadnavis-led State Government. Moreover, it needs to be seen that allegations are made in the backdrop of ongoing civic elections. If Pawar was serious, then he should have approached a government agency to investigate the corruption charges, said Chavan.
