Seven villagers of Kaparda were arrested on Wednesday for attacking a police team investigating the disappearance of Bhanwari Devi,in which Rajasthan minister Mahipal Maderna is an accused.
The police said they had received information on Tuesday that Baldevram,a suspect in the case,was hiding in Kaparda. Four policemen were sent to the spot. As soon as the unarmed policemen began house-to-house searches,a group of miscreants attacked them,injuring two policemen. On Wednesday,though a well-equipped police force faced resistance from the villagers,they arrested seven persons for attacking the team.
