
Indicating that Reliance Energy 8212; controlled by Anil Ambani 8212; had kept its parent Reliance Industries informed about all major investment decisions, REL said the full board RIL, including Mukesh Ambani, was briefed at the energy firm8217;s board meeting on Oct. 20, 2004.
8220;The meeting was intended to keep the RIL board informed of the growth strategy and future plans of Reliance Energy,8221; the REL communication said. The Indian Express had earlier reported that Mukesh Ambani had attended the October 20 board meeting of REL.
With the tussle between the brothers showing no signs of letting up, Reliance shares fell on investor unloading. Reliance Industries declined by 2.6 per cent, Reliance Energy by 1.38 per cent and Reliance Capital 2.45 per cent in a subdued stock market.
REL officials had earlier said the company had informed its major shareholder RIL about its investment plans totalling Rs 14,000 crore, including a power project in Dadri, UP.
