Vintage may export cards

PUNE, Sept 30: Vintage Cards and Creations Limited VCCL, the Indian licensee of Hallmark Inc. of USA has set its sights on the US and Canadian markets. The company is holding talks with a US company for the export of cards for Indian festive occasions. The company currently has an arrangement with Hallmark permitting it to export Diwali and Id cards to South Africa and Middle East.

Managing director Anil Kapur told reporters that, Hallmark would take a decision on the sale of cards through internet in the next few months. VCCL, whose venture capitalist Blueberry Holdings Mauritius Ltd is offloading 25 per cent of its stake at Rs. 225 per share, plans to open 75 more Hallmark stores this year. It already has 225 stores in 94 cities. The company also plans to enter the lower segment The offer for sale of 12,60,259 equity shares will open on September 29and close on October 6.
