CHANDIGARH, MARCH 14: Vinod Binta (38 and 2-19) and Rajesh Arora (26 and 3-21) helped Godrej XI beat DYFI XI by 38 runs in the second Shankar Lal Memorial cricket tournament here today. Amit Bhardwaj’s allround show (2 for 23 and 48) fashioned PGI XI’s two-wicket win over Bombay XI in the other match.

Godrej XI scored 163 for 9 in the allotted 25 overs. Apart from Binta and Arora, Vaneet Chawla scored 34 while Harminder Bawa hit 24. In reply, DYFI XI were allout for 125.

In the other match, Bombay XI got 142 with a fine unbeaten 62 by Mohan Singh. Amit and Raman Sharma captured two wickets each. PGI XI lost eight wickets before scraping home. Amit played an intelligent knock, rallying partners around him. Rajeev Dutta played a helping hand with 33.
