Vehicles must have pollution control certificates

CHENNAI, July 1: All vehicles plying the roads in Chennai and its suburbs must possess the pollution control certificate from July 1. However, when the order came on force on Wednesday, most of the 9.23 lakh vehicles in the city did not possess the certificate. Several of 125 licenced emission check centres reported that they checked over 500 vehicles during the last couple of days.
