PATIALA, SEPT 7: As civil servants, we will have to perform varied roles in the course of our services. The statement was made by the Punjabi University Vice-Chancellor, Dr J.S. Ahluwalia while delivering his presidential address here today at a felicitation function of the IAS and PCS trainees of IAS coaching centre of the university.
He expressed his pleasure over the achievements of the centre and claimed that the centre was performing a yeoman8217;s service for the university and assured that he would continue to extend full help to the centre in future.
Felicitating the successful trainees Registrar Dr Ranbir Singh Sarao said that they had brought credit to the centre and the university.
Drawing the attention of the budding officers towards the service conditions, Dean Academic Affairs Dr Kuldeep Singh Dhir stated that they must face the challenges bravely and honestly.
The function was organised by IAS training centre of the university to IAS and PCS Judicial trainees of the centre. Dr G.S. Bajwa, director of the centre, said that this year out of the 19 candidates selected for PCS Judicial 15 belonged to the centre.
