Varsity cell to verify rosters

PUNE, July 22: The University of Pune8217;s reservation cell has finally decided to implement the pending government order on verifying the rosters of the non-teaching employees of 216 colleges affiliated to the university.

Because of shortage of staff at the cell, rosters of only lecturers, readers, professors at the university departments and lecturers of affiliated colleges were checked so far. Earlier the cell at the divisional commissioner8217;s office was empowered to check the rosters of the non-teaching staff at affiliated colleges.

Three years back, the State Government had issued a resolution that the university8217;s reservation cell should also verify rosters of non-teaching staff.
