Patel elected president of IPCL union
Former standing committee chairman of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation Anuj Patel has been appointed president of Petrochemicals Karmachari Union INTUC of the IPCL. Patel was appointed unanimously at an emergency executive committee meeting of the Union recently.

3-week seminar
A seminar-cum-workshop for mothers of children aged between two and eight years will be organised by city-based institute Vatsalya November 20 onwards. Spread over three weeks, the seminar aims to help parents in coping with the stress of parenting, understanding their children better and discussing their individual problems. Jyoti Parikh and other child development experts will co-ordinate the session on Friday at Vatsalya, Prafull Colony, near Tarangan Society from 5 to 6.30 pm.

Appointed
City-based eye surgeon and judge of consumer court, Vadodara, Ashok Mehta has been appointed to the Gujarat State Consumer Protection Council for a period of two years as a member non-government along with six MLAs and 11 additional chief secretaries of the State government.

TOEFL exam
