Two drown in Narmada
A 16-year-old girl and her 17-year-old cousin, both residents of Madodar village of Waghodia taluka, drowned in river Narmada near Nareshwar temple in Karjan where they had gone to take bath on the occasion of Adhikmas8217; on Thursday morning. According to the Karjan police, the deceased have been identified as Uma Hemant Karelia and Nilesh Kirti.

Compensation
State Deputy Food and Civil Supply Minister Jaswantsinh Bhabhor gave away a cheque of Rs 1 lakh as the forest department8217;s financial help to the family of the 12-year-old boy who was killed by a panther. The panther, which was shot dead in the Chhotaudepur jungles by the police on Wednesday, had claimed one life and injured three in villages of Chhotaudepur taluka. The two injured 8212; Devla Jagadia Rathwa and Kishore Shiva Rathwa 8212; would be paid compensation soon, a release said.

RTG workshop
