Tiger attacks three people
Three people were injured when a tiger attacked them in the outskirts of Sisadia village, Chhotaudepur, on Tuesday. The Vadodara district rural police said they sustained minor injuries in the face and arms, before the animal retreated into the bushes. The injured 8212; Gopal Patel of Sisadia, Mangu Rathwa of Harkhalpura and Randia Harijan of Devahant 8212; were immediately rushed to SSG Hospital for treatment. The animal is suspected to have strayed into the area from the jungles of the adjoining Narmada district.

Wall under probe
The Vadodara Municipal Corporation is examining the unauthorised wall and gate allegedly put up by N D Patel, one of the accused in the businessman Bharat Shah8217;s suicide case. Deputy Municipal Commissioner Administration H S Patel said a decision on demolishing the structure would be taken in a few days.

Kerosene seized
District supply officials raided three kerosene dealers in the city on Tuesday and seized unaccounted kerosene worth about Rs 7,000.

Tree plantation
The Jhanor-Gandhar project of the National Thermal Power Corporation celebrated World Environment day through a mass tree planting programme conducted by employees, family members and local residents. A voluntary organisation, Paryavaran Sanrakshan Dal, was also constituted on the occasion.

Admission forms
Admission forms for various courses run by M S University8217;s Polytechnic College will be available for Rs 40 each from Wednesday till June 22 except Sundays between 11.30 am and 3.30 pm. Those who have passed SSC or any equivalent board exams recognised by the Gujarat government in English medium in October 1998 and March 1999 can apply. Admission forms can also be obtained by post.
