V-C: Students threatening to kill me

The standoff between Lucknow University Vice Chancellor Prof Ram Prakash Singh and students8217; leaders took a new turn on Friday with the V-C alleging that some LU leaders 8220;enjoying8221; political affiliations are threatening to 8220;eliminate8221; him. 8220;My measures to reform the university are hitting them right under the belt,8221; Singh said. 8220;Annoyed with my initiatives, they are threatening me with dire consequences over telephone.8221;

Singh said he has been receiving such threatening calls for the past 24 hours, and decided to approach the police on Friday.
