The Uttar Pradesh Government on Friday constituted a state advisory council SAC to review and monitor implementation of government policies, developmental projects and law-and-order situation. Senior BSP leader Satish Chandra Mishra has been appointed chairman of the council.

The council will comprise the Chief Secretary, principal secretaries of finance, home, planning and law. However, the members, along with the chairman, will not get any salary or honorarium, a Government Order said. The meeting of the SAC will be held on the directives of the Chief Minister or its chairman. The council will also advise the Government on its policies and legal matters besides other responsibilities given by the CM.
