
Close on the heels of Friday8217;s blasts in Uttar Pradesh, another e-mail threatening a series of explosions, including an attack on the visiting Pakistani cricket team, is doing the rounds on Saturday.
Television channel 8216;India TV8217; in New Delhi claimed to have received an e-mail from 8216;guru_boys2000yahoo.com8217; on Saturday morning in which the message threatened the visiting Pakistani cricket team to withdraw from the Test series.
The source and authenticity of the message were yet to be verified. 8220;We will check the message once the television channel hands us over the email,8221; Deputy Commissioner of Police Special Cell Alok Kumar said.
Saturday8217;s e-mail threatened blasts in various places in Chennai, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Islamabad.
Various television channels had received an email on Friday also which landed minutes after the first blast rocked the holy town of Varanasi.
This, e-mail, sent from a Yahoo identity using French domain, was located to a cyber cafe in East Delhi. Police have picked up the owner of the cyber cafe and were questioning him.
According to the sources, while the owner of the cyber cafe was absent at the time when the mail was sent, the place had four persons 8212; three localites and one outsider.
Police was seeking the help of the locals to bring out the sketch of the person believed to be of 5.8 feet tall, the sources said.
