Country’s second biggest realty firm Unitech will replace Mukesh Ambani group firm IPCL on National Stock Exchange’s benchmark index Nifty from October 5. Unitech will be included on the S&P CNX Nifty index as trading in shares of IPCL would be suspended pursuant to its amalgamation with Reliance Industries Ltd, an NSE statement said. Unitech has become the first realty firm to be included on Nifty, a well diversified 50 stock index accounting for 22 sectors of the economy. DLF in place of IPCL MUMBAI: The BSE has decided to include DLF Ltd’s scrip in the BSE-100 and BSE-200 index in place of Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd (IPCL) with effect from October 5, 2007. The BSE has also included Sun Pharma Advanced Research Co Ltd replacing IPCL scrip in BSE-500 index, an exchange release said. The exclusion of IPCL was made on account of the amalgamation of company with Reliance Industries Ltd.
