Unidentified body recovered from Vastrapur bungalow146;s servant quarter

The Thakkars spotted the yet-to-be-identified body in Prakash8217;s room around 8 am on Saturday, when he did not report for his morning duties. 8220;On opening the room8217;s door, the Thakkars were shocked to see a body lying inside the room. The victim, aged around 25 had been strangled to death,8221; said Vastrapur police inspector R B Joshi.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the Thakkars had last seen Prakash on Friday night. 8220;Prakash, who is presently at large, is the prime suspect in the case,8221; Joshi added.

Police said that Prakash hails from Rajasthan and was working as a domestic help for the Thakkars for the last two years. 8220;Right now, our first priority is to establish the victim8217;s identity. The other facts will follow after that,8221; said Joshi.

Meanwhile the victim8217;s body has been sent for a post mortem and the police are awaiting the report to ascertain the actual cause of death. The police have also roped in experts from the Directorate of Forensic Sciences DFS in Gandhinagar to help them in the probe.
