S.A.S. NAGAR, SEPT 12: Five persons, including the drivers and conductors of the buses, received minor injuries in the collision of two Punjab Roadways buses at Kumbra lightpoint of the township today. All the injured were discharged after first-aid, said police.

According to police sources, the accident took place at 6.30 a.m. when the driver of Chandigarh-bound Punjab Roadways bus, coming from Chunni Kalan, applied brakes to save a stray cattle roaming on the road and turned turtle after it was hit by another Punjab Roadways bus which was going from Chandigarh to Udhampur.

The SHO of the Phase VIII Police Station, Balwant Singh told Newsline that no case had been registered.
