Two held hours after robbery bid

Two domestic servants were nabbed within hours of attempting to rob their employers on Thursday. One of the accused, Shambu 19, was sacked by his employers, Zaveris, and was told to get another servant to replace him. He then took Manoj Kumar 19, another accused in the case, to his employers. 8220;The duo stayed back at Zaveri8217;s residence on the pretext that it was too late for them to return to their homes. During the night, Shmabhu managed to steal the keys of the safe and the two servants tried to open the locker. One of the family members woke up from the noise made by the duo and alerted the other members. The servants got scared and fled,8221; said Police Inspector S Varpe of DB Marg police station. The police made their sketches based on the description by the Zaveris and nabbed them. They have been remanded to police custody till Monday.
