Don8217;t hesitate to ask for it: Bibimbap is one of Korea8217;s best-known dishes this side of Seoul. Nutritious and delicious, bibimbap is a simple-to-make dish. It just takes steaming hot sticky rice and ladles of vegetable stew or meat to get it right. In Korean, it means mixed meal.
The first mention of bibimbap has been found in a 19th century in anonymous cook book called Siuijeonseo. In the book it8217;s called Buibuimbap.
A raw or fried egg and pieces of beef are the usual additions to a dish of bibimbap. These ingredients are mixed into the dish just before eating. In most of the common Korean households, it8217;s a regular everyday food.
