Anita Anand
On most days, she says she8217;s out of her house by half past nine in the morning, and won8217;t be back until seven in the evening. quot; But on days that we8217;re shooting, it could get as late as midnight, quot; she admits, adding that sometimes she ends up working on Sundays too.
She8217;s a great boss to work with, she says. quot;I8217;m generally the more lenient one, quot; she giggles. quot;I8217;m the one they come to when they need leave, quot; she adds jokingly. And her staff will vouch for that. quot;I guess they8217;ve taken to me since Mukul8217;s passing away, quot; she explains.
Ask her what8217;s in the top drawer of her desk, and she collects her thoughts before replying. quot; There are a lot of very confidential papers, probably the keys to all the cabinets in the office, some photographs of the family with Mukul, and my favourite set of pens, quot; she says.
Anita, who operates from the first floor premises of the office, says the ground floor room which her husband used, has been kept empty. quot;I wouldn8217;t let anyone else use it. It8217;s just theway Mukul left it, except for the fact that it8217;s cleaned regularly, quot; she says. quot;I do pass it every now and then, and I feel a connection with him everytime I do,quot; she adds.
Recently back from a three-week holiday across Florida and New York with her daughter Alishka, Anita says her work keeps her busy most of the time. quot;It8217;s the only thing that keeps me going, besides my children, of course, quot; she says.
