TNAU to increase pulse production

COIMBATORE, May 31: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University TNAU has submitted to the State Government a strategic plan to increase production of protein-rich pulses. According to A Abdul Kareem, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU, improved varities, seed treatment, optimum plant population, harvesting time, drying methods and storage facilities, would all contribute to increasing production of pulses in the State.
