CHENNAI, JULY 14: Shiv Sena Tamil Nadu president R Thangasamy, in a surprise move on Thursday, removed state general secretary K Parameswaran and state organiser G Radhakrishnan and a few other office-bearers from their posts “for acting against the principles and discipline” of the party.
The surprise move comes close on the heels of a press conference addressed by Parameswaran and other office-bearers on Thursday announcing that the party would install 1008 Vinayaga idols in the city and would organise a procession on September 3.
They had also claimed that Shiv Sena national vice-president and MP Satish Pradhan would participate in the public meeting to be held after the procession.
Others expelled are: State Shiv Sena vice-presidents V Sakthivel, S Kumaraswami, K Ravikumar and Ambur Ravichandran.
