PANCHKULA, Dec 18: Three girls of a Sector 16 school were hospitalised when they complained of drowsiness and sickness after consuming a lollipop, reportedly purchased from the school canteen.
Doctors attending on Nancy, Anu and Swati, aged between eight and 10, at the Sector 6 General Hospital said their condition was out of danger and stable.Food remnants pumped from their stomachs have been sent for chemical analysis and the exact cause of the illness would be known only after the results are available.
The girls said one of their classmates had bought two lollipops from the school canteen, one of which was shared by them and another girl, Neha. Though Neha complained of giddiness, she was taken home by her parents. The fifth girl did not complain of any illness.
