Three children killed in firecracker explosion in Bihar

Three children of a family were killed and another seriously injured when firecrackers kept in a house exploded in Bihar8217;s Gopalganj district on Tuesday, the police said.

Govardhan Ram had bought some firecrackers for selling them during the Diwali, but an earthen lamp accidentally fell on the crackers igniting them causing a major fire.

Govardhan Ram8217;s two sons Sonu 13 and Raja seven, besides nephew Vivek 12 died on the spot. Another family member Kishore Ram has been admitted to a referral hospital at Bhore in a critical condition, the sources said.

A case has been registered under Explosive Substances Act against Govardhan Ram, who is absconding.
