VALSAD, NOV 7: Of late, India8217;s most famous run machine, Sachin Tendulkar, appeared to have developed a snag. He, however, boomed into top gear with a scorching display at the Sardar Patel Stadium, here, today. 8220;I desperately needed some practice and it was quite satisfying in that context,8221; remarked the Mumbai skipper, who fell short of his first-class best of 179 against West Indies in the Nagpur Test in 1994.

However, deep inside, there was a sense of dissatisfaction in not getting to the 200-mark. 8220;I need to concentrate harder,8221; was his response when his attention was drawn to it later in the day. 8220;I know I could have done better, but8230;,8221; he added wistfully.Commenting on Mumbai8217;s status in the ongoing Ranji Trophy encounter against Gujarat, Tendulkar said, 8220;We should win it comfortably.8221;
