Teachers reject new scales

CHANDIGARH, April 27:Teachers of four universities of Punjab and Chandigarh have rejected the pay scales announced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

In a statement here today, convenor of Punjab Federation of University Teachers Association PFUTA, N. S. Mann has announced that teachers8217; associations will protest against the decision. A meeting of the executive committee of PFUTA will be held on Thursday to chalk out the programme.

Finance Secretary of Punjab and Chandigarh College Teachers Union, Rabinder Nath Chawla and former general secretary of the union, Charanjit Chawla have also condemned the pay scales.
