FOR the second time in a row, TDSAT chairman Justice D.P. Wadhwa has come down strongly on basic operators as well as the government in a case linked to the contentious WLL services.
The apex telecom tribunal on Saturday allowed WLL service providers to use mobile switching centres, but to restrict the range of their mobile services to be distinct from cellphone services. The new judgment could add to the confusion existing in the sector with the matter headed straight back to the Supreme Court.
