
Tata Consultancy Services TCS slipped on the second day of listing but continued to top the turnover chart and contributed heavily to the total turnover. The TCS stock, however, closed with marginal loss of 0.91 per cent at Rs 978.55 against previous close of Rs 987.55 on the BSE and its market capitalisation stood at Rs 46,801.60 crore.
On the BSE, the TCS counter recorded the trading turnover of Rs 220.99 crore 8212; the highest 8212; and 22.43 lakh TCS shares changed hands while at the National Stock Exchange, the TCS counter recorded turnover of Rs 498.26 crore as against the trading volume of 50.55 lakh share.
8220;The interest in TCS shares is expected to continue for some time as allotees in the high networth individuals HNIs as well as the retail investors categories may to make a quick exit,8221; said BSE dealer Pawan Dharnidharka.
Dealers added, 8220;Bank financing plays a crucial role in the subscription by HNIs and retail investors. These set of investors wish to make a quick exit as they have to repay the loans they have taken8221;.
