CHANDIGARH, Sept 30: quot;We liked the City for its architecture and greenery. I have come here with my students to study Indian culture.quot; This is what Dr Ulrich Bichsel, professor of Geography at Kirchenfeld College at Berne, Switzerland, feels about Chandigarh. Ulrich and Jean Louis Schwarz lead a group of 17 students on a study tour to India. They will be leaving Chandigarh tomorrow after spending three days here. Ulrich said these students are in their last year of graduation. quot; This is our first station and we will visit Agra, Jodhpur and Mumbai during the 15-day tour, quot; he added.

These geography students have chosen Indian culture as an optional subject in their graduation. They will study architecture of the Indian cities and casteism as a part of Indian culture. The Swiss students have been invited by Gurnam Singh and Company, Tubewell Engineers and Consultants.
