Students clash in LU, five suspended

Three students were injured when two groups clashed in the Lucknow University campus on Thursday.

Three students were injured when two groups clashed in the Lucknow University campus on Thursday.

Later, the university authorities suspended five students. Ravi Kumar, a student involved in the clash, has lodged an FIR with the Hassanganj police in this connection.

The clash between the two groups 8212; students of BA section 8212; took place over seating arrangement in the classroom.

According to reports, one of the groups comprised Anurag Tripathi, Ajeet Singh, Neeraj Tiwari, Abhishek and Neeraj Singh. The other included Shivaji Seth, Shailendra, Himanshu Verma and Ravi Kumar.

A member of the Proctoral board said Shivaji, Shailendra and Himanshu were injured in the clash. 8220;After a complaint from Ravi Kumar, the university suspended Anurag, Neeraj Singh, Ajeet, Neeraj Tiwari and Himanshu,8221; Chief Proctor A N Singh said.
