The Organiser has come out with a special issue on the BJP government in Karnataka completing a hundred days in office. In his signed editorial headlined 8220;Yeddyurappa has his task cut out8221;, R.Balashankar writes: 8220;The first BJP government in Karnataka has completed 100 hundred days in office. Karnataka was always considered an impregnable fortress of the Congress8230;Today, Karnataka is a BJP bastion. There has not been a single intellectually competent and academically sound analysis about the BJP win in Karnataka8230;How the BJP took Karnataka by storm is a gripping narrative in political cadre building. It is the strong RSS network 8212; first nurtured by stalwarts like Yadavrao Joshi and H.V. Sheshadri, excellent publications, dedicated full-timers 8212; who generated the atmosphere for change8230;The Ramjanmabhoomi agitation changed the argument that the BJP was a party of urban Indian and upper caste middle class. The BJP today is a pan-India phenomenon, ruling in more states than the Congress.8221; He adds: 8220;Yeddyurappa8217;s mission is now to ensure that agriculture in the state becomes a profitable career option, as much as to ensure that the state retains its IT forte. Within his short span he had to brave two formidable challenges. First, the opposition tried to instigate the farmers in the name of fertiliser scarcity. Then terror struck Bangaluru with serial blasts. Karnataka has become a haven for fundamentalists and terror modules because of the political patronage they enjoy. This is another serious challenge for the BJP government.8221;

The true idea of India

In a piece titled 8220;Imbibe a true understanding of the nature and ethos of India to make it great8221; in the special issue, BJP president Rajnath Singh observes: 8220;As envisaged by Shri Aurobindo and Swami Vivekananda, India is destined to emerge as an economic powerhouse, military superpower, and knowledge hub of the century. With the BJP at the helm steering the country towards achieving this vision, India will once again be acknowledged as Vishwa Guru 8212; an inclusive superpower that embodies and actualises the immortal ideal of Vasudev Kutumbkam8230;This is the ideal that motivated Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Deendayal Upadhyay to found our organisation which has over the last six decades today emerged as pre-eminent political party of the land.8221; He adds, 8220;When various parts of the world struggle with problems ranging from deprivation and violence to ecological imbalances, only our ideology of Hindutva can meaningfully shows us the way, from conflict to coherence, and even from health science to mathematics and guide us in the right direction..8221;

Power play

In an article titled 8220;Kashmir: The Argument of Power8221; former RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav writes, 8220;The Jammu agitation has done several good things to the country. First, it showed that the separatist elements in the Valley are very much there, alive and kicking. Second, it provided an excellent opportunity for our government to reiterate to the world that Kashmir is an integral part of India and it has every right to do whatever it deems proper. The victory of the Shri Amarnath Sangharsh Samiti, in the real sense, is the victory of our country and our government.8221; He concludes, 8220;The next J038;K Assembly should have only those as members who have the courage and conviction to hail India in the House. This means no place for Mufti and his daughter who threaten dismemberment of India. If all parties including the Congress, BJP, Communists, and NC make up their minds to ensure this, then that will be the real Argument of Power.8221;
