State teachers threaten stir

CHAMORSHI, July 28: Over 1,000 teachers of Maharashtra State Primary Teachers Committee, Gadchiroli District Primary Teachers Association, Maharashtra State Prathamik Shikshak Sabha and Maharashtra Rajya Zilla Parishad Backward Class Employees Association, have jointly threatened to launch a chain hunger strike from August 1 if the administration fails to transfer Group Education Officer B N Deotale to another place.

The teachers have also threatened to launch an indefinite hunger strike in front of office of the Panchayat Samiti from from August 8 if their demands are met.
