Spin is win mantra for Robin Singh146;s India A

Eye on Harbhajan Powar, India A has EuroAsia plan

.

Inspired by Harbhajan Singh and Romesh Powar8217;s spin tricks on the slow, low Abu Dhabi track, India A is planning to follow suit8212;with three top-class tweakers of their own.

For the EuroAsia Cup 6-nation one-day tournament starting at the Sheikh Zayed stadium on Sunday, India A will bank heavily on the left-arm spin of Ravindra Jadeja and Sivaramakrishnan Vidyut, and the leg-spin of Piyush Chawla.

In fact, coach Robin Singh and his team remained glued to the TV as India played Pakistan over the last two days. Today, Singh reached the team8217;s practice nets at Brabourne Stadium here, convinced that to win, spin will matter.

8216;8216;Spinners will have a major role to play. Spin is one department that we will be looking at now,8217;8217; Singh said. In fact, the team can also call on two part-timers to deliver: S Badrinath and Rohit Sharma, both 8216;8216;occasional8217;8217; off-spinners.

With the focus on them8212;the team leaves for Abu Dhabi on Saturday morning8212;the spinners are already feeling the heat. 8216;8216;The pressure of performance will definitely be there. I have been trying to learn with each single opportunity and this is another one coming up,8217;8217; said Chawla.

Then, there8217;s Jadeja whose accuracy prompted under-19 skipper Ravikant Shukla to bring him on in the fifth over during the World Cup final against Pakistan at Colombo in February.

8216;8216;From what I saw of Abu Dhabi, I would love to bowl on such wickets. The wickets are slow and of the right kind, where I would like to bowl,8217;8217; said Jadeja.
