NEW DELHI, AUG 4: A city court has issued summons to Samata Party leaders Jaya Jaitley, Balraj Kumar and Anil Hegde for allegedly making a forced entry into Priyanka Vadra8217;s residence in February 1997.

They have been asked to appear in the court of metropolitanm agistate V K Khanna on September 24.

According to the chargesheet, about 150 Samata Party workers, led by the three accused, had collected in front of Priyanka8217;s residence at 35, Lodhi Estate on February 8.

They were supposed to sit outside peacefully, but had forcibly entered the premises shouting slogans. The additional SHO of Tuglak Road Police station had warned the demonstrators but the officers on duty were pushed back and obstructed in discharge of their official duties, the chargesheet said.

Charges under Section 186 obstructing public servant in discharge of his duties, 353 assault, 448 house trespass and 341 wrongful restraining of a person of the Indian Penal Code has been levelled against the three accused.
