Soren in AIIMS, hearing adjourned

A Delhi court on Thursday adjourned the hearing on the quantum of sentence for former Union Minister Shibu Soren in the Shashi Nath Jha murder case till Friday.

A Delhi court on Thursday adjourned the hearing on the quantum of sentence for former Union Minister Shibu Soren in the Shashi Nath Jha murder case till Friday.

Additional Sessions Judge B R Kedia, who was to hear the arguments on the quantum of punishment to be awarded to Soren and four others in the case, allowed the plea of convicts8217; counsel for the adjournment of the hearing till tomorrow considering Soren8217; was undergoing treatment angiography tests at AIIMS. Earlier in the day, Soren8217;s counsel R K Naseem had informed the court that though it was the duty of the police to inform the court about actual position of convicts, but as per his information, the JMM chief was not keeping well and at present was in the ICU of the hospital.

Meanwhile, BJP Parliamentary spokesperson Sushma Swaraj on Thursday said the PM8217;s silence on Soren is 8220;more revealing8221;. 8220;We assume the Prime Minister is speechless unki bolti band hai,8221; she said.
