An evening of dance
Kalanidhi, the institute of well known Kathak and Odissi exponent Yogini Gandhi enthralled a packed audience with the presentation of 8211; Nritya Sandhya, its annual concert on Sunday September 21 at the Symbiosis International Auditorium, Viman Nagar. The evening commenced with Ganesh Vandana, performed brilliantly by Yogini Gandhi and her senior students. The finale of this piece with the accompaniment of manjira set the mood for the evening to follow. The concert had a number of performances that showcased the talents of the young dancers of the institute. Especially noteworthy were the solo performances by Advaita Mane and Divya Dikshit. The concert was commendably conducted by Guru Yogini Gandhi and supported by a team of wonderful musicians.
True spirit
To celebrate the numerous accolades of its prize-winning brand Chantilli, Champagne Indage Limited CIL had organised a one of a kind derby event at the Pune racecourse on Sunday, September 21. For the first time ever, the race day was preceded by two unique pre-race events at the Post 91 pub in Pune and wine brunch along with a grape crushing event on the race day at the Turf Club. Apart from the derby, guests were also exposed to traditional wine tasting sessions. The event witnessed ladies participating in the traditional wine-crushing event thus enveloping everyone with the true essence and enchantment of wine. The exotic combination of music, wine, sport and the flamboyance of the most elegant ladies in town made this event a colourful and memorable one for everyone.
