Siddharth Kotian in the under-8 boys and Vinay Kumar Mohandas of Abhinav Vidyalaya in under-12 won the titles respectively in the Parle-G Inter-Schools Chess Festival being organised by Bandra Chess Club and conducted by Bombay Chess Association at the St. Stanislaus school, Bandra.
Siddharth Kotian remained unbeaten in the nine-round Swiss league and finished a clear two points ahead of the rest of the field.
Vinay Kumar dropped one point on his way to the title and was half-a-point ahead of Aditya Vora 7.5.
