Tushar Garg triumphed over Arjun Uppal 6-1, 3-6,6-2 to win the boys under-14 title in the Delhi State Summer Circuit at the Masonic club. In the boys under-12 final, Siddharth Gulati beat Vipin Gupta 2-1, 6-2, 6-1. In the girls under 12 semi-finals, Gayatri Iyer beat Jayavatwani 8-2 and Nidhi Thakur beat Astha Sharma 8-5.

ASC Centre (South) entered the final of the DGST Basketball Tournament beating Central Command 77-34. In the other matches, ASC Centre (North) defeated Central Command 46-40 and Western Command beat Northern 66-16.
Chander upset
Dinesh Gupta of CAG upset top seeded Chander Pal in a French defence variation in the third Bhagwati Gas Open tourney. In another upset, R. K Jain of State Bank of India toppled Harish Sharma, another rated player, in the Kings Indian Defence in 42 moves.
