Mid-day.Com, an online couselling clinic for upcoming youngsters, will be conducted by sporting legends like former Indian cricket captain Ramakant Achrekar, former world billiards champion Michael Ferreira and former hockey skipper MM Somayya. The clinic to be known as “Sportsaid” will be operational from August 21.

Among others who will be conducting this clinic include Adil Sumariwalla (athletics), Sanjay Sharma (badminton), Kishen Narsi (boxing), Anil Padhye (bridge), Balwinder Singh Sandhu (cricket), Shahid Qureshi (basketball), Raghunandan Gokhale (chess), SS Hakim and Dereyck de Souza (football), Digraj Singh (golf), Cawas Billimoria (judo), Ashok Shinde (kabaddi), Chandrakant Pawar (squash), Sandeep Divgikar (swimming), Asif Ismail (tennis) and Yogesh Kanchan (volleyball).

Lokesh Chopra hits 101
A stroke-filled century by Lokesh Chopra (101: 10×6, 7×4 off 33 balls) and Ajay Narang’s all-round display (4 for 31 and 27 not out) helped Keshav Puram Club beat Ashirwad by five wickets in a triangular tournament for President’s Estate Challenge Trophy at PBG ground.
Satish (90) and Vinay (41) were the principal contributors for Ashirwad while while Lokesh and Ravi Dhingra were the top scorer for the winners.
Brief scores: Ashirwad: 213 all out in 35 overs (Satish 90, Vinay 41, Ajay Narang 4 for 31, Shailender Nath 3 for 37, Prabhat Rai 3 for 41) lost to Keshav Puram: 216 for five in 24.3 overs (Lokesh Chopra 101, Ravi Dhingra 40, Ajay Narang 27 not out, Kaif Mohammad 23 not out, Raju 3 for 35).
