Neetu, Gyanendra shine
Neetu of Naglamachi timed 2.49 to win the junior girls 800m event in the Otto Peltzer Road Races at the National Stadium here today. In the junior boys section, Gyanendra of Raj Rifles claimed the gold in 2.43.

Other winners included Dharmender of Nehru Stadium in the men’s 5 k.m. event, Bhagwati of CISF in the women’s 5 k.m. event while in the senior boys section Vinod Kumar of Chgattrasal Stadium came first in the 2.5 km event and Sudesh Dhiraj of SYSS clinched gold in the senior girls section.

Mehra Academy win
Vijay Mehra Academy (148 for 8 in 25 overs: Jayant Khurana 60, A. Venkat 30, Abhishek Ram 3 for 20, Amit Likhyani 3 for 20) bt LPS Academy (147 for 7 in 25 overs: Harish Massod 35 not out, Abhishek 30, R. Sekri 2 for 25) by one run.
