Pakistan clich Tri-Series
In the end it did not matter which eleven India came up with. A collection of individuals was never going to challenge the sustained team effort of the marauding Pakistanis. And it did not need all of 100 overs to confirm that. In less than a dozen overs of aggressive fast bowling, the visitors left the home team’s reply to 291 for 8 in 50 overs in tatters.

India win
Zhu Ben-qiang can go back a rather happy man. The Chinese No.1 took a set off Leander Paes in the first reverse singles and even came close to creating minimal interest in the Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group I play-off tie, which was dead and gone as early as Friday. In the end, however, India managed a clean sweep with both Paes and Syed Fazaluddin taking care of Sunday.
