West Indies beat Aussies
The West Indies beat Australia by ten wickets in the second Test here today, needing just 35 minutes to take the remaining two wickets on Day Four after the cream of visitors’ batting was wiped out yesterday, and then knocking off the required three runs off just three balls for a famous win.

Azhar happy
Mohammed Azharuddin feels that there would be a keen fight among the World Cup probables in the forthcoming triangular series at home to grab berths in the squad to England for the cricket’s showpiece May-June event. “There are a lot of newcomers in the squad and I hope they do well and come out with flying colours. There would be tremendous competition for World Cup berths,” the Indian captain said.

Skipper Vikram Rathore struck a sparkling 207 as Punjab gained five points by virtue of their first innings lead in their Group A Ranji Trophy Super League match against Bengal which ended in a tame draw at the Eden Gardens today. Both Punjab and Bengal completed their super league engagements with 16 points each but Punjab became the second team after Hyderabad to qualify for the knock out stage.
