
All-India table tennis
Khar Gymkhana will be conducting the All india Prize Money Table Tennis Tournament from August 6-11 in the Gymkhana premises. Top ranking players from all over the country are expected to participate in the event with a total of Rs 1.5 lakhs prize-money in the offing.
The last date for receiving entries is August 5 between 1100 and 1700 hrs.
Paceman Donald surges ahead
n South African fast bowler, Allan Donald, after his six-wicket haul in the Third Test against England at Old Trafford, moved ahead in the Ceat cricket rating. He is currently ranked second with 26 points. Sri Lankan off-spinner Muralitharan, who has got a slender one point lead over Donald, leads the rating as on July 23.
Sachin Tendulkar is at the sixth position with 18 points. The other Indian to feature in the top ten is all-rounder Ajit Agarkar 16 points at the ninth spot.
