We need to maintain a continuous back-up of power as our clients demand uninterrupted supply and we provide 24215;7 services to our customers. There is definitely a need to improve the power situation, which is a nationwide problem.

A lot of credit should be given to the state government for fostering an environment which allowed service-based industries to flourish and become world-class.

The Indian service industry is poised to change the landscape of the country in the same way China changed due to the manufacturing sector. However, due to the phenomenal success of these industries in the State, the pace of development of infrastructure is lagging behind and needs to pick up for Bangalore to retain its Tier-I status.

What we are finding is that Sarjapur Road is increasingly getting bottlenecked. And it is becoming quite a hazard to drive on these roads as multiple accidents take place.

There is unchecked commercial growth all round the place. The system does not have the capacity to take it.

And the way the land is being converted into commercial and residential use, the traffic will come to a halt in another year-and-a-half. Every nook and corner of the land is being converted, completely choking the area.

We have got to apply our minds to a lot of things. We should remove a bit of crowding in Bangalore and make it a hub rather than a place where everybody wants to be in. We have to transition ourselves from being a place where people need to be physically present to a hub.

In fact, you have to leverage off Bangalore rather than living off Bangalore.

Otherwise it will be overcrowded, too many people will land up here and it won8217;t be able to absorb that. One of the achievements that we look forward to is the completion of the international airport.
