After last month8217;s blast at Ahmedabad8217;s civil hospital that claimed 36 lives, the administration is taking no chances. Minutes after the serial blasts in the city, the administration sent orders to beef up security within and outside all hospitals.

8220;We have deployed security personnel around all hospitals and are checking all activity here, while the Delhi Police is monitoring all activity outside,8221; said a security officer.

Police said all vehicles around the hospital were being checked. 8220;While we are manning the entry to the hospital, security personnel have been asked to be on their toes round the clock. People are being checked and bags and suitcases searched,8221; said a Delhi

Police officer.

8220;All vehicle movements around the hospital are being scrutinised and we are not letting anyone without a staff identity card enter the hospital beyond a certain point. Temporary barricades have been put up for the purpose,8221; he added.
